Mitch King is not the quintessential musician. He’s a travelling rover and his music is inspired by his love of life and sense of freedom. His carefree nomadic lifestyle, close bond to nature and passion for surfing is pure and it transpires though his songs.
Mitch’s music is recognized both nationally and internationally. Over the past year he has had many achievements, from his song “Coming Back” being used to promote NFL Green Bay Packers first home open season game in 2016, the song was used live at the game and on TV. He has performed internationally at festivals to Sell Out Headline Shows in Australia.
Mitch has created a remarkable following by gracing the stages at many Australian festivals including St Kilda Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest and Blues on Broadbeach to name a few.
Sweet combinations of electrified, inventive and acoustic music is the best way to describe Mitch’s Roots and Southern Blues style. Upon witnessing his live shows, you will quickly see his exceptional ability to captivate his audience by delivering honest and refreshing performances.
Mitch released his EP “Southerly Change” in January 2017. A 6 track EP that debuted at #2 for 10 days on the iTunes Blues Charts. A hugely successful Australian Tour followed this release.
Now fast forward to September and Mitch is set to release a new single, called ‘Burning’. Out on September 8th, this exciting new track is full of beautiful harmonies and emotionally driven lyrics. A national tour will follow late September and will see Mitch continue to command eager audiences that have cemented him as one of Australia’s most exciting acts.
“Mitch King is an absolute explosion of talent, with fingertips of steel and vocal pipes of a howling steam train, this young land would be one of our all time favourite artists to have ever graced ‘Porch’. Great things are a comin’ for this musical love child of Kim Churchill and Ash Grunwald. Unbelievably spell binding to watch, this salty blonde blueshound is definitely one to keep your eye on”
