International Songwriting Competition semi-finalist Jo Page is an Australian country artist whose gritty storytelling and commanding vocals have been turning heads across the national live music scene. Raised on the windswept shores of Port Lincoln, South Australia, Jo has spent more than 16 years carving her path as an independent artist, performing hundreds of shows across the country and opening for iconic Australian acts including Eskimo Joe, Birds of Tokyo, Daryl Braithwaite and Shannon Noll. Her commanding stage presence earned praise from Aussie music legend Dobe Newton, who described her as “a force of nature” during her graduation from the CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth.
Cutting her teeth across regional Australia through corporate events, pub stages and festival appearances, Jo has built a reputation as a formidable live performer. In 2025, she entered a defining new chapter, travelling to Tasmania to record original music with ARIA Award-winning producer Matt Fell at Wilder Tasmania. The project launched with the dark, cinematic country-rock single Fire in His Eyes, co-written with Tamworth Hands of Fame inductee Kevin Bennett, which received national airplay on ABC Country, including features on Saturday Night Country with Beccy Cole and Grassroots, alongside rotation on Australian Country Radio.
Momentum continued into 2026, with Fire in His Eyes named a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, placing Jo among a select group of emerging songwriters recognised on the global stage.
Her latest release, She’s a Bird, marks a powerful evolution in her artistry — a deeply personal, neotraditional country ballad honouring the quiet resilience of women. Drawing on lived experience and a lifelong love of story-driven country music, the track further establishes Page as a compelling voice in narrative-led songwriting.
Beyond music, Jo works in the domestic and family violence sector, and her lived experience informs the emotional honesty at the core of her work. A passionate advocate for mental health awareness and community support, she uses her platform to encourage open conversations around resilience, healing
and hope.
