Australian Golden Guitar finalist Casey Barnes has released a brand new catchy single from his #1 album ‘The Good Life’. ‘Be Mine’, (released 18th June) is a song of true love, proving that even if you have been hurt in the past, a relationship can be different, it can be forever. The song has instant appeal showcased with a catchy melody and honest lyrics. As with previous recent releases, Casey has continued his songwriting partnership with Michael Paynter and Michael DeLorenzis from MSquared Productions. A fitting follow up to Casey’s previous #1 single ‘Ain’t Coming Home’ which still continues to dominate the airwaves.
‘Be Mine would definitely have to be one of my personal favourites on the new album. It was such a fun and effortless song to write and is already one of the most well received at our live shows. It’s funny because I often show my two young daughters new songs when I finish in the studio as they’re always an honest (sometimes brutal) barometer and apparently this one is their favourite… so I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we loved recording it!’
‘The Good Life’, (released 9th March and debuting at #1 on the iTunes Country Charts and #2 on the ARIA Country Charts) has been a career defining album. The album carves a path of contemporary country, delivering toe tapping songs that are destined to turn into favourite anthems.
Previous single ‘The Way We Ride’ continues to be a special track amongst fans. The song reached #1 on countless country radio charts across Australia including a massive 4 weeks at the top spot on the Country Tracks Top 40 Chart. The high velocity track also caught the attention of PBR Australia, which has seen Casey performing the song across the country for much of last year at their major bull riding events and will continue throughout 2018.
Casey has toured internationally with Lady Antebellum and has continued performing at major Australian country music festivals such as Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Broadbeach Country Music Festival and CMC Rocks. This has resulted in a monumental rise in Casey’s profile to become a crowd favourite nationwide.
Casey’s music has made an impact around the world. He’s had hits in Europe, written, recorded and toured in America, appeared in a top-rating TV show in Australia and played alongside many international artists including Mariah Carey and Bryan Adams. Well known for his depth of storytelling and high energy live show, Casey will continue to tour extensively throughout the remainder of 2018.
Having recently performed at Australia’s largest International Country Music Festival, CMC Rocks, alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, Darius Rucker, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay and Brett Young, Casey is now preparing for further performances, including the upcoming the major Groundwater Music Festival (with The McClymonts, Granger Smith, Adam Harvey, Troy Kemp and more) and Gympie Music Muster, (with Lee Kernaghan, Troy Casser-Daley, Ian Moss, Travis Collins, Beccy Cole and The Wolfe Brothers) as well as national performances for PBR Australia.
Casey’s album ‘The Good Life’ featuring the brand new single ‘Be Mine’ is out now.
