Exciting times for two of our artists this week as Casey Barnes and Stone Parade are announced as FINALISTS in the acclaimed Nashville based International Songwriting Competition.
Singer-songwriter Casey Barnes continues to collect accolades with the announcement that ‘Valentine’ has reached the finals of the Music Video Category. This beautifully directed clip was produced by Casey’s wife Michelle and Wazza Bray with help from the team at LMG Digital Media.
Sydney based rock group Stone Parade have 3 songs in the finals including ‘Only You and Me’ (Adult Contemporary) ‘Only You and Me’ (Pop/Top 40) and ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ (Rock). Stone Parade have had previous success in this competition with their heartfelt ballad ‘Somebody Will Miss You’ winning the Rock Category in 2008.
The International Songwriting Competition, which was named by the prestigious New York Times as “the songwriting competition to take note of” is a high profile event which, this year saw entries over 19,000 worldwide. The 2015 esteemed judges include Lorde, Tom Waits, Kesha, Boyz II Men, Moby, Bastille, Avicii as well as Presidents and CEOs from Atlantic, Epic, Elektra, Sony Music Latin, Warner Bros., Tommy Boy, Wind-Up, Alligator, Concord Music Group and more.
Designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting, the International Songwriting Competition offers the opportunity for songwriters to have their music heard by some of the most influential decision-makers in the industry.
