Live As One is the title track from Casey Barnes’ latest album which was released via Social Family Records on 26th August. The song is powerful and positive and comes at a time where hope is needed more than ever. It touches on the important topics of unity and equality no matter what your cultural or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, mental or physical background.

Recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, Live As One was written and produced by Casey Barnes & fellow Australian, Rick Price.
Rick and I were both inspired to write Live As One at the start of this year after feeling frustration at the constant fear filled messages and negativity we constantly see everyday in the news and on social media. Along with the mistakes we keep on making as a human race over the history of time with violence and hatred which clearly isn’t the answer. My favourite lyric in the whole song is the opening line: ‘Angry words and a fist never healed no one’. I feel there’s never been a more important time to be spreading messages of hope and positivity especially for our kids who are the next generation that have the ability to make change.
Fresh off the back of opening for Lady Antebellum at Country Summer Festival in California, Casey recently signed with new management, and inked a record deal with indie label Social Family Records. The current release is the first with the label and contains a collection of exciting new songs along with fan favourites, with the title track tying the modern country album together. Most of the tracks were co-written and produced by Casey Barnes and Rick Price, Casey’s good friend and fellow songwriter, Mark Duckworth, with Michael Paynter and Michael Delorenzis also adding their touch.
Casey held a very special launch on the day of the album’s release at NightQuarter on the Gold Coast. The same night Casey learnt the album had shot to #5 on the offical iTunes charts and sat at #13 on the Top 40 Country Tracks chart which is Australia’s leading Country Music Chart compiled from radio airplay. This week the single is sitting at #4 on Australia’s Country Radio Top 10.
On 3rd September, Casey learned that the album debuted at #9 on the official ARIA Country Charts.
