Chloe Swannell is back with her boldest release yet. Dropping October 31st, “Going Redneck” is a fiery, foot-stomping country-rock anthem for anyone fed up with the daily grind and ready to let loose. With gritty vocals, punchy guitars, and a driving beat, the track transforms everyday frustrations into a wild backwoods’ celebration. From skyrocketing rent to endless long hours, the verses capture the pressures of modern life — but when the chorus hits, it’s pure release: ditch the stress, grab your mates, and go full redneck. Equal parts rebellion and relief, the song is an unapologetic invitation to kick off your boots, crack open something strong, and find freedom in the chaos.
“I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been on the phone with friends or family, venting about how crazy things have gotten — how everything’s more expensive, and how it all just seems to keep getting worse. One day, Tarquin came up with an idea for a song. The chorus was already written — catchy, fun, and all about cutting loose and having a good time with your mates. We started working on the verses together and decided to focus on all the everyday frustrations that make you want to escape reality,” says Chloe.
Co-written and produced with Tarquin Halls-Corbett, “Going Redneck” delivers raw, rebellious energy with a rock & roll punch — the perfect soundtrack for tailgates, truck beds, and blowing off steam after a long week.
Since her breakout debut “Strange Love” (2023), which hit #5 on the AMRAP Regional Charts and #6 on the iTunes Country Charts, Chloe has been carving out her place as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices. Her debut EP Livin’ in the Country earned widespread acclaim and saw her touring across NSW and QLD. In 2024, she showcased her powerhouse vocals at the Bathurst 500 with a stirring rendition of the national anthem, further solidifying her reputation as a rising star in Australian country music.
Chloe’s journey has already taken her to iconic stages including Parliament House, the Sydney Opera House, and the Australian War Memorial. Her music has featured on CMT Australia and playlists like Spotify’s Heaps Country, Apple Music’s Aussie Country, Country Risers, New in Country and Country Caffeine. Beyond her artistry, Chloe is also the founder of a respected Central West music studio, mentoring the next generation of performers.
With “Going Redneck”, Chloe Swannell unveils a bolder, grittier edge to her sound — cementing her place as a dynamic force in modern country.
